Mixcars, Inc. ("Mix Cars", "we") operates mixcars.net. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the site you agree to this policy.
Information you give us
- Contact and vehicle inquiries: name, phone number, email address, the vehicle you asked about, and your message.
- Financing applications: the online credit application is provided by our dealer-management system provider, DealerCenter, and is submitted on its secure servers. Application data (including Social Security number, income and employment) is transmitted to DealerCenter and to the lenders we work with to evaluate your request. It is not stored on this website.
- Trade-in estimates and inventory alerts: vehicle details you enter and how to reach you.
- Job applications: the information you include in the careers form.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics: we use Google Analytics 4 and our own page-view counters to understand which pages are visited. These record pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and the site that referred you.
- Advertising: the Meta (Facebook) Pixel records that you visited pages on our site so we can measure and improve our advertising. Meta may use cookies and similar technologies; see Meta's privacy policy for details.
- Cookies and browser storage: a session cookie for staff who sign in to our administration pages, your language preference, and the cookies used by the analytics and advertising services above.
How we use information
- To answer your inquiry, arrange a test drive, and complete a purchase.
- To process financing requests with our lending partners.
- To send you inventory alerts or follow-ups you asked for. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to a text or asking us by email.
- To operate, secure and improve the website.
- To comply with legal obligations, including record-keeping required of motor vehicle dealers.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with: lenders and finance companies when you apply for financing; service providers that run parts of the site for us (website hosting, email delivery, our dealer-management system, analytics and advertising platforms); and authorities when required by law or to protect our rights.
Retention and security
We keep inquiry records for as long as needed to serve you and as required by law, then delete or anonymize them. We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limit staff access to personal information. No method of transmission is completely secure.
Your choices and rights
- Ask us what personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing sales@mixcars.net.
- Opt out of marketing messages at any time.
- Control cookies in your browser settings, and manage ad personalization through Google's and Meta's ad settings.
- Virginia residents may have additional rights under the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act to the extent it applies to us. Contact us to exercise them.
Children
Our site is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
